- Boil Water.
Different types of teas require different water temperatures to brew.
- Warm-up Teapot.
Take some of the boiled water and fill half the teapot; give it a few swirls then throw out the water. It warms the teapot so that the temperature will not drop when the hot water enters the teapot.
- Put tea into teapot and add the hot water.
- Cover teapot and steep tea.
The steep time is different depending on your taste and the type of tea. It is typically not more than 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea leaves and pour hot tea into teacups.
